Evenings

The social programme

The conference opens with a Burns-supper welcome: pipes, haggis and a whisky tasting. The gala dinner in Elphinstone Hall ends with a ceilidh, and the band teaches every dance. The optional Friday trip goes to Dunnottar Castle and Stonehaven.

Formats

Three industry formats.

The Challenge Exchange

Partners' problems are posted on this site from December as short challenge cards: the company, the problem, how far the technology has got, and what kind of help they want. Researchers register interest before the conference. On the day each partner has 5 minutes and one slide, and the organisers schedule 20-minute follow-up meetings.

Operator & regulator panel

A moderated discussion with time for audience questions, including questions sent in advance through the portal.

PGR lightning talks

Three minutes and one slide per speaker, judged live by a panel that includes industry co-chairs.
