AXIS 2027
Accessibility

Access to the website and to the conference.

We want everyone who wants to take part to be able to. This page explains how accessible the website is, how to ask for support at the event, and who to contact.

At the conference

Ask for what you need.

Tell us about any access needs in your account profile now, or when you register. Requests made by 25 January 2027 give us time to arrange them. We will still try to help with anything raised later. We use this information only to arrange your support.

What you can ask for

  • Step-free routes and reserved seating
  • A quiet space to take a break
  • Changes to how or when you present
  • Dietary requirements at every meal
  • Live captions for streamed sessions
  • Any other adjustment that would help

Personal assistants

If you need a personal assistant or carer to attend with you, tell us when you register. We will arrange their badge and meals.

Venue details

Step-free access, accessible toilets, hearing loops and walking distances will be listed on the venue page once the venue is confirmed. Until then, ask us about anything you need to plan.

Contact us in confidence at hello@axisconference.org, with "Access" in the subject line.

Website accessibility statement

How accessible this website is.

This statement covers axisconference.org, including the delegate account and portal. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What you can do

  • Use the whole site with a keyboard, with a "skip to content" link at the top of each page
  • Zoom in, or use a phone, without content running off the side of the screen
  • Turn off animation with the "Reduce motion" button in the footer, or your device's reduced-motion setting
  • Use a screen reader: pages have headings in order, labelled forms and text for every image that carries meaning
  • Read text with enough contrast against its background

Known issues

  • The 3D scene on the home page and the globe are decorative. The same information is on the page as text.
  • The venue map works with a keyboard, but the places on it are also listed as text on the same page.
  • Some downloadable PDFs, such as print templates, are designed for printing and are not fully tagged for screen readers.

Other formats and feedback

If you need any page or document in another format, such as large print or plain text, or you find a problem we have not listed, email hello@axisconference.org. We will reply within five working days.

How we checked

The organising team checks the site with automated tools and keyboard-only use, at desktop and phone sizes, whenever pages change. We will run a full check again before the programme is published on 19 January 2027.

Questions

Not sure whether we can help? Ask us.

Most adjustments are simple to arrange if we know early.
